DennisJONESWe sadly announce the falling asleep of Dennis Jones at his home, on 12th March 2026.

Dennis was a quietly observant man who believed in fairness, family values, inner wealth over outside wealth. He had hidden depths that sparkled.

His special enduring qualities live on in his family. Lucy, his treasure of a wife, of whom he said.

"I am so well aware of her love and kindness, she saw to it that I had everything for my care and need, bless her".

His beloved family Claudia and Peter, Caroline and Mark, grandchildren Nathaniel, Sophie-Gwen, Conrad, Sapphire, and great grandson Thomas. His many cherished friends from all walks of his life as a customs officer, a sports enthusiast, especially cricket, a film buff, and as a church member.

To say goodbye to our incredible loving Dennis is hard but we each have our special moments, fun and memories to cherish.

A private family burial will be held on Thursday 2nd April 2026 at 10.45am at Oystermouth Cemetery.

There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday 2nd April 2026 at 11.45am at Mumbles Christadelphian Hall, (Mt Zion Hall) 518 Mumbles Road, Mumbles, Swansea SA3 4BU.

No flowers or donations, please, kindly remember Dennis with a smile.

I had the joy of meeting Dennis over the last couple of years as we met and chatted at the Linden Church Wednesday Breakfast Club. He shared with me details of his interesting and varied working career which I lapped up! How proud he was of his Father's writing and his passion for Glamorgan cricket knew no bounds. Will miss him.
