John Gordon JamesJONESPassed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the University Hospital of Wales, aged 86.

Respected parishioner of Wenvoe, Vale of Glamorgan, and proud native of Llandysul, Ceredigion; known to all as "Gordon".

Beloved husband to Elizabeth, and dearest dad to Ceri, Rhyddian, Edward, and Huw. Grandad to Rhiannon, Natasha, Cellyn, Isla, and Sophie. Great granddad to Esme and Millie.

Public funeral to be held at St Mary's Parish Church, Wenvoe, on Tuesday 10th October at 1:45pm, followed by a private family committal at Cardiff & Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium, Barry, at 3pm.

"Do not go gentle into that good night" - Dylan Thomas "Yr Arglwydd yw fy Mugail; ni bydd eisieu arnaf." - Psalm xxiii, 1.

Family flowers only please, with donations to the RNLI gratefully received via rnli.org. c/o Penarth Funeral Directors, 30 Hickman Rd, Penarth CF64 2AL, alternatively, donations towards the church can be made at the church on the day.
