The obituary notice of Gwylfa (Ex Welsh Guards and Lyons Glass) JONES

One of our favourite TV watches Dad - ‘Trooping of the Colour’, unfortunately can’t watch it all this morning but have recorded it.
We had the same conversation every time it was on - the guardsman, the precision of every footstep, the drums and the marching, an incredible sight.
Then you would tell me how far from horse guards parade you used to be stationed and we would have your time in the guards stories - don’t envy them in the bearskins in this weather.
I’m still memorised by them.
Anyway, I’ll watch it all tomorrow and think of our conversations. Then of course the next one is the British Legion remembrance ceremony In November from the Royal Albert hall.

So no turkey sarnies on Christmas Eve Dad, but had them tonight instead bringing in 2026!

Also it’s the first New Year that the candles lit first time in 16yrs for Wend and 3yrs for you no wind or rain - William and I used to curse the weather 😀
