GwylfaJONESPeacefully on 24th June, aged 86, Gwylfa, a devoted husband to Ann, a loving dad to Caroline, Mark and Claire, a respected father in law to Mark, Suzanne and Gary, and will be deeply missed by all his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral will be on Monday 10th July, from his daughters home, Ynyswerdd. Penllergaer, SA4 9AR at 12pm, followed by cremation at Swansea Crematorium at 12:30pm. Family flowers only, any donations can be made in lieu to 'Prostate Cancer UK' via funeral-notices co.uk or cheques may be presented to Lee Davies of Phillip G. Davies & Son, Independent Family Funeral Directors, Cockett. SA2 OGB Tel: (01792) 581924.

Almost 40yrs ago dad, we sat outside this pub so many times in Santa Ponsa. We had a drink and reminisced of all the good times, the only thing different is l, I’ve got no chance of running up those bloody steps!

I obviously got my love of snooker from you - and at last on 3rd attempt I’ve got to the Centre of Snooker - The Crucible - I’m like a kid, so excited. Be thinking of you as we can’t talk about the matches anymore. Love you always Dad x

I’ve hit the 60 milestone, not sure how it happened so quickly!!!
Wish you were here to give me a hug and say ‘60, you’re bloody old now kid’!!
But another silent chat where you rest is all I can have.

Well you said if I ever get the chance to go to Rome, go. I know you spent a day there on one of your many cruises, but I’ve just returned after a few days and I have to say you were not wrong! Outstanding, amazing etc, It wasn’t as hot as when you went which was good.
I lit a candle and said a silent few words as I always do - but you won’t get better than a lit candle than in St.Peters Basilica - What’s good enough for a Pope is more than good enough for you Dad.
