Remembering Dad…Des ice cream!
Died March 7th 2005.
Twenty years have come and gone,
Yet still, my heart holds on so strong.
I miss you more than words can say,
I think of you every day.
The love you gave, the lessons too,
Shaped my life in all I do.
For all you did, I thank you now,
I hope you hear me, see me somehow…..
You never got to see him grow,
But oh, dear Dad, I hope you know—
Ricky’s done so well, you’d see,
A man so kind, he looks after me!
He called you Dw, his special name,
Though time has passed, it stays the same.
I know you’d be so proud today,
Watching over us, come what may.
Though years may pass, the love remains,
Through sunshine bright and pouring rains.
Until we meet again someday,
