Joan ElizabethJONESSadly passed away on 20th September 2018 at Y Bwthyn Care Home, aged 85 years. Beloved wife of Charles, Mum to Cathy, Stephen, David and Paul. Joan worked for 27 years at East Glamorgan hospital, first as Secretary to Matron Rees and then as Secretary to Paediatric Consultant Bill Davies and later John Morgan. When she retired she then became a volunteer for the BHF in Pontypridd. She then contracted diabetes and went to the initial meeting to form a group and thus became the Secretary of the Pontypridd Diabetic Group from the start. Her husband Charles made her retire in 2013 as she was 80 years old and in failing health. She will be deeply missed by all family and friends. Joan will be resting at Church Village Funeral Services prior to the Funeral Service at 11.45am on 10th October 2018 at Miskin Manor Hotel, Pendoylan Road, Groesfaen, Pontyclun. CF72 8ND followed by the Committal at Cefyn-y-Parc Cemetery, Llantrisant. Family flowers only.
