Grandads are like no one else and you was one of a kind, and even though this sadness aches our memories will never decline. We look back in fondness every day at the memories we had. We want you to hear us Grandad, although you’re out of sight, we’ll use the lessons that you taught us, forever our guiding light. Your love and guidance we miss, your memories we will treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never. Always in our hearts and forever the brightest star. You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. They say there is a reason, they say time will heal, neither time or a reason will change the way I feel. Three months have passed dad and I’ll never forget the day someone rang to say you had passed away. I was your second born, daddy’s little girl, I had to take my own path but was and will always be part of your world. I always loved you, my dad, my king and now my star, my pain is to worship you from afar. Dad you are so special, truly one of a kind. You held my hand when I was small you caught me when I fell, the hero of my childhood and later years aswell. Sometimes when I think of you my heart fills with pride and though I will forever miss you, I know you’re by my side. I wished I could have sat with you just one more time, to have told you how grateful I was and how you filled my heart with pride. If heaven allows you to watch over the ones you love, I hope you still see me trying my best down here, carrying your lessons, morals and name proudly every day with honour and love. I am your daughter and that is still the title I am most proud of and always will. I love and miss you dad each and every day and I hope heaven celebrates the most missed and special dads on Father’s Day. I hope my Nan, grandad, Leroy and the ancestors too, will be celebrating today with you. Dad you loved me and you know how much I loved you, though I’m down here and your up there I just want to wish you a happy Father’s Day in heaven to the best dad anywhere.

Grandad why is it always that the gentlest souls seem to leave this world to early. The ones who carried love in their hearts with out asking for anything in return. The ones who listened to others pain carefully giving advice and guidance whilst hiding their own pain. Thank you grandad for being you and being there when you were needed before you became unwell. Grandad your courage and pride lives on in our blood. We didn’t get to say goodbye, but we feel and know that you will be forever watching and guiding us throughout life. Grandad you was our warrior and we both have the warrior in us because of you. To my dad, my king, I hope in another time and another place our story doesn’t end this way dad. A version where goodbye never found us and you was here to stay always. I pray that our paths are written to cross again dad and when that moment comes I am going to hug you so tight and squeeze my head between your neck and shoulder blade and never let go. Love doesn’t disappear with time it simply waits for another place and time. Dad I thought I had a lifetime left with you, am so sorry for everything left unspoken. You may be gone from this world, but you will never be gone from mine. Dad your in my heart, tears, laughter, quiet moments and loud to. I hope my Nan is spoiling you today, she always had a soft spot for you because you was so much like her brother, Ronnie. I hope they’re all making your 70th birthday celebration special. As the sun sets upon our uncle's life, and his body is layed to rest, I know he will be up in heaven because God only takes the best. Siblings are often the forgotten grievers, but it important to remember that losing you my brother Newy is one of the most painful and heartbreaking losses to endure. I was never ready for you to leave, but I feel comfort knowing that you will look after my beloved son up there. I will think about you always Newy, I will think of you till time stands still, you will never be forgotten, and our memories of you Newy never will. I will forever hold you close in my heart and there you will remain, to walk with me through out my life until we meet again. It has broken my heart to lose you, you did not go alone, because part of me went with you when our mother and father called you home. You have left me with powerful, unforgettable, loving, and funny memories, your love is still my guide, and though I can not see you I know you're by my side. Our family chain is now broken, and nothing will ever feel the same, but our mother and father will call us one by one, and our family will be linked once again.

My dad, my first love I could write a million words about the dad you were and the honour and pride having you has my dad gave me. My dad the only person in this world who could shout at me and tell me how it was, the person who gave me loyal advice, morals and kept me in check, the man who always told me to put bits of money away which would then mount up for a rainy day. Well dad, it is worst than a rainy day, I cannot believe my hero is no longer here in life. A piece of my heart has ached for several years for you, but now it is shattered and hurts and forever will. Dad I will always picture your cheeky smile when I was little and we would be coming home from the match when Liverpool won, you had that same smile when you would come back from the academy telling me how well your boys done and that cheeky smile when telling me all the stories about your younger days with my Nan and Grandad and your siblings. Dad your passion for the red men, family stories, and my memories with you will live on forever through my grandbabies that I promise. Dad, give my Nan and Grandad a big hug for me and try and not lead our Leroy into mischief. I will give you the biggest hug and kiss and tell you how much I have missed you when I get there, remember I would pick you always a million times over to be my dad. I have never been fatherless; I am now a daughter to a father who has wings. Dad, you loved me and I loved you dearly and nobody can ever take that away from us.
