AlanJOHNSONMr Alan (Judd) Johnson, age 77, born in Haslingden, died suddenly in the early hours of Tuesday, September 7, at home with his family. A local family man who was married to the late Fran for 50 years. He leaves his daughter Gill, son-in-law Anthony and grandson Brodie, brothers Jimmy and Bobby, and sisters Mary and Lynne and the late Dinah, Jean and Barbara, brother and sister-in-law Barry and Val, together with nieces and nephews. Most of his working life was spent as a Spinner in the cotton industry. He was a successful pigeon flyer in partnership with his late wife Fran, and was a member of Haslingden and Accrington Flying Clubs. He was a member of Haslingden Fly Fishing Club where he was bailiff for many years. The funeral service was due to be held on Thursday, September 23, at 1.30pm at St James Church, Haslingden, followed by a burial at Haslingden Cemetery.
