He was a keen fisherman and birdwatcher.

Andrew leaves his beloved daughters Marianne and Alice. Brother Bobby Ives, sister in law Shona, sisters Catherine Wallwork, Susan McLoughlin and Anne Hilton and their husbands, Robert, John, Eddie, also nieces and nephews and many friends.

Those wishing to pay their last respects, please join us on Friday, April 12 when a celebration of Andrew’s life will take place at Hamer’s Funeral Home in Rawtenstall at 1.30pm, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm.

I was very sad to hear the passing of Andy. We started working together back in summer 2021 when we both worked for a local firm in his residing village of Lochmaben. Instantly we got on well, sharing a love for music, collecting vinyl and football. Every time we would travel together we would try and hunt down a record shop and look for some gems. We kept in touch a lot, and he always offered great advice when I was going through hard times. I always kept my eye out for any Rory Gallagher records that he needed, and I’d give him them when we met up at work. He was a great bloke. I moved back out to west Cumbria in 2023 so we only kept in touch via text or phone calls. I stopped getting replies so I assumed something had happened. It wasn’t until recently that I was told he passed and I was devastated. Unfortunately nobody from our previous workplace informed me. I am glad that this page exists so I can share my admiration for Andy. I still have a couple LPs that I got for him, and I’ll cherish them forever. Every time I spin one I’ll think of the good laughs we had. Goodbye Andy, I’ll miss you mate. Brent.
