We’d tiptoe through the long, swishy grass,
Brave the river, cold and fast,
Climb the mud and whisper low—
“Shh… we’re going on a bear hunt, you know.”
In your voice, the story lived,
In every laugh, in all you gave.
A world of wonder in your care,
Love woven gently everywhere.
Your kindness shaped the heart I hold,
In quiet strength, in courage bold.
The way you loved, so pure, so true,
Still guides me in the things I do.
Though now the path feels hard to see,
I feel your warmth surrounding me.
In every page, in every line,
Your spirit lives, your love is mine.
And when I whisper soft and slow,
“We can’t go over it, we can’t go under it…”—I know,
I’ll find my way, just like before,
With you beside me, evermore.
Missed beyond words, loved beyond time.
Forever my Nanna.
