Dear Pat, I am sitting here in Cumbria thinking about you, and remembering the fun times that we had teaching together at The Hawthorns School in Surrey. You were there for my first couple of years of teaching. Your calmness, kindness and warmth was evident in everything. We loved working with you, the children adored you and we know how proud you were of your beautiful children. Thank you for being a fabulous mentor. Your memory will live on. Sleep well. Xx.

Dear Pat
I had the privilege of working with you for many years at The Hawthorns Pre-Prep and Nursery. You were kind and nurturing and my own children were blessed to have you teaching them in their early years. An inspirational teacher who always put others first. I have so many happy memories of those days. Rest in Peace dear Pat knowing how many little lives you touched.

Dearest Pat, We have lost the motherly ‘Joyce Grenfell’ of Hawthorn House! Your kindness, charm and patience inspired us all. Warm, gentle and calm, with steel beneath, your Christian virtues exuded. Pupils learnt not just the 3Rs, but life skills and etiquette too. Thank you for your generous love and grace from which so many benefitted. You were a genuine treasure. Bless you. TJ
