It was a true joy to have Brenda and her husband visit Coffs Harbour. Their time with us became especially meaningful because my mother was still with us then; meeting a cousin from the UK she had never known was a deeply moving experience for her. Brenda and my mother formed a warm, easy friendship, and although our time together was too short, every moment we shared was rich with family connection and laughter. Over the years Brenda kept in touch—first by email around 2000 and later by Skype—and she generously sent videos of UK shows we couldn’t see in Australia. Her kindness, her warmth, and the way she brought family together will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
