I hope this message may be seen by one of Karen’s family- maybe her mum or Dad or sister. I have just heard that Karen has died (Jan 2026) and want to pass on my deepest condolences to you all. Karen tutored my son Joe ( now 22) for nearly 10 years from aged 10-19yrs, she was instrumental in changing his whole academic ability, enabling him to master his dyslexia and he is now at university, getting amazing results. Karen was incredibly helpful giving me advice as a single mum on how to get support through schools for him and to navigate all aspects of GCSE’s, A-levels and university for my son. Although Joe had finished tutoring with Karen she was someone who we often would refer to and remember how much she helped us both. She was so good at motivating with stickers! and the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever met about education. I have felt so sad and upset hearing she has died -I was only talking to my sister about her yesterday. I feel like she has been part of me and Joe’s family and we would have very much wanted to be at her funeral or memorial service. If anyone from Karen’s family would be happy to message me I would really like that because she has changed my son’s life so much and I’d like to personally say she will never be forgotten by us. She brought so much happiness and support. Thank you, Marie Howard 07742054830
