John was, quite simply, a truly good man.
He was a man with no malice in his heart, no prejudice, and no racism. He treated everyone with kindness and respect, and he had a wonderful way of making people feel welcome and at ease.
With his Viking looks, he certainly had the appearance of a warrior, but behind that strong exterior was a big heart and a genuinely good soul. John was always ready for a good laugh, and his wonderful sense of humour could brighten any day.
He was someone you could trust, someone who stood firmly by his principles, and someone whose presence made a real difference to those around him.
I feel very lucky to have known John, and I will miss him more than words can say. I will miss his laughter, his sense of humour, and, most of all, simply having him around.
John may no longer be with us, but the memories he gave us will remain forever. People like John leave a lasting mark on your heart, and that is where he will always stay.
Our hearts go out to his loving wife, Deb, and to their beautiful children, Hannah and Ben. We cannot begin to imagine the pain of losing someone so special, but we hope they can find comfort in the love and memories they shared with John.
Rest peacefully, John. You were a truly good man, and a friend who will never be forgotten.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Marcello and Sarah
