Rest in Peace David.

You were a lovely man who always had a smile on your face whenever I saw you and very welcoming when I visited Annmarie when we were growing up.

Lots of love

I remember David, your Dad and Pappa with great fondness, he was a very kind and caring man who loved his family dearly.

His calm voice, always had a warm welcome into your family home. The door was always open, ‘literally’! It was a house filled with love, his favourite music on the radio and Annmarie’s friends!

Always keeping busy around the house and in his beautiful garden, he worked hard to provide for his family.

I recall a day trip to Newquay where David was working, Annmarie, my sister Michelle and I went along for the day. It was no bother to him, the more the merrier and he was happy for the company.

He was often the taxi service for us and then when Annmarie got her first car he was relieved of that duty only to become the recovery service! He was a very patient man!

David, I will always be grateful to you for offering me a place to stay so I could attend College in Falmouth instead of returning to London. Your generosity and kindness knew no end and meant so much to me.

You lived a long life, you were loved and cared for so well until the end. You will be missed dearly and remembered fondly by all of your family and friends.

May they be comforted knowing that you will live on in them by remembering your love, guidance and the happy times that they shared with you.

As you are reunited with your dearest Muriel. May your souls rest together in eternal peace.

Annmarie, I remember your lovely dad most clearly from when we were teenagers. He wasn’t a man of many words (maybe conversing with giggly teenage girls wasn't for him), but there was something steady and reassuring about his quiet presence in the background whenever I was welcomed into your home.

I recall a gentle love through small acts....like him polishing your shoes. Little things like that showed how much he cared for you, was proud of you and loved you.

I hope you can feel how much of him lives on in you, your sisters and all of the grandchildren and be comforted by each trait, value and loving habit that keep his memory alive .

David, you will be greatly missed by your loved ones and your friends. May you find peace as you rejoin Muriel. It may be a long time since our paths crossed but I am grateful to have known you when I did.

Sending love to the whole family, Vx
