Loved brother of Ron and brother in law of Janet and uncle to Beverley and Lorraine.

He requested no funeral.

Derek was a good brother to Ron. They had happy times together when they young and they enjoyed each others company through out the years. I also had a good relationship with him. He had never had a cat before until a cat sorted of adopted him. He loved her and took great care of her. Will miss him coming to us for a Sunday roast, which he enjoyed.

Derek was a very special Uncle. ❤️
He was kind hearted with a great sense of humour. Someone I have learnt a lot from generous and selfless. I have lots of fond memories, I really enjoyed the times he came to visit me in London. I can't believe he is gone, the family won't feel the same without him. Miss you.

Derek was a true gentleman. Many happy memories. The fancy dress party at ours year 2000,Derek arriving with the huge plastic ears is a memory that still makes us laugh. You sir will never be forgotten. Safe journey. Love Jane and Elaine xx

Derek you were such a nice person to be around and great to have rich and diverse conversations with. You were always such a gentle and kind person to all who knew you. You will be dearly missed.
