JeanHAWORTHof South Street, Bacup, passed away on January 15 at Fernhill in Bacup, aged 85 years.
Jean was a hairdresser from the age of 16 at Sammy Clegg's,
she ran a cafe with her husband and then went in to the family funeral business - Woods, Bacup.
Jean was the former lady's captain of Bacup Golf Club and was a keen bridge player. She enjoyed squash, badminton, netball and holidays. She was a member of Bacup Golf Club. Wife to the late Arnold, she leaves behind son Warren, daughters Maxine and Melissa, grandchildren Georgian, Samantha, Heidi and Elissa and Elliot, Jake and Bethany and seven great-grandchildren. Late brothers Keith and Dale. Nephew Michael.
A service will be held on Wednesday, February 4 at Burnley Crematorium at 12.15pm, conducted by celebrant Kathy Unsworth. Family flowers, donations to Cancer Research UK. Donations can be made online at www.fredhamer.co.uk (tributes and donations). Funeral director: Dawn Winfield for Fred Hamer Funeral Service, Rawtenstall.
