Uncle Brian, you have always taught me to be respectful and kind to everyone and I feel so lucky to have you as my role model, to show what it truly means to care for others. When I care for patients and their families, I think of you and offer them the same patience and warmth you so effortlessly exuded. My words are not enough to honour the man you were, but I hope carrying your examples with me every day will honour you. We all miss you dearly. Wherever you are, I hope I do you proud.

It only felt like yesterday when we popped round yours for cake and tea, when we cruised down the harbour in HK, when you took us for driving lessons through the Bath estates, when you held Edward and Eugenia for the first time in your arms, and the list would go on. Thank you for your kindness, for taking care of us and sharing your wisdom and for treating us like family. May you rest in peace - you will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
