MargaretHARTLEYof Chatburn Close, Rawtenstall, died at Royal Blackburn Hospital, on Saturday, August 10, aged 85. She started work as a secretary and also a school secretary at Alder Grange, then ran, with her husband, the paper shop in Crawshawbooth and prior to retirement the sub Post Office at Heaton Park. She enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking and dancing. She was a obituaries member at Hands On at Kay Street Baptist and Monday Club at St Nicholas Church, Newchurch. She was the wife of the late Norman and leaves son Clive, daughter Erica, son-in-law Nick, and grandsons Andrew and Jacob. The funeral service and cremation conducted by David Ireland will be held on Wednesday, August 28, at Burnley Crematorium, at 11.20am.
