David had a happy-go-lucky view of life - always cheerful and ready for a few jokes even though he was often in pain. He loved to reminisce about growing up with his two brothers and helping out on his Dad's milk round before school. He was always ready to help out in times of family crisis (driving to Redcar to bring back his father-in-law's car when he was taken ill and unable to drive or collecting his in-laws from Hampshire following a car accident). Also collecting me from Gloucestershire after my Dad died. And this always done with kindness and without a second thought.
I will miss David very much, as a brother-in-law and dear friend.

Dear David, loving husband, proud Dad and Grandad, kind Uncle and brother-in-law and our Best Man - in every sense of the words. A true and loyal friend to those who were privileged to call him so. Sociable , hospitable and cheerful - a visit to Dave and Carol's home was always a pleasure being met with warmth and a relaxed and cheerful welcome (not to mention a tipple or two!). We will miss you David but you leave us with so many happy memories. We are proud to have known you.

Well what can I say a true gentleman loved by so many. Always a smile hugs and a kiss so very kind and always caring. I've grown up knowing a special man who was always ready to give advice and share his thought on many occasions. I'll miss you Dave so God bless you and you'll always have a special place in my heart.. And those who loved you so much. Xx
