John PhilipHARKER(Jesmond) Peacefully in hospital on 13th July, aged 77 years. Loving partner of Olive Calzini for many years. Beloved brother of Lorelle and the late Maureen and Peter. A father and much-loved grandfather. John will be fondly remembered for his flair creating the Plus Four shops with his brother Peter. Funeral service at West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 4th August at 2pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the British Heart Foundation. A donation box will be available at the service.

So very sorry to hear of John's death, I have happy memories going back to Blackett Street, buying unopened crates of ex army fly swatters, mark 2 Jag, sitting at the counter with a fag and the paper, Plus Four, and a huge influence on Pete.

He was a pleasure to work with at plus four for many great years of my life. I will miss seeing him and olive in the garden not a worry in the world. He will be missed by his family and friends very much
