EllenHARDMANEllen Hardman, of Warmden Avenue, Baxenden, passed away on June 23, aged 93 years.
Ellen became a weaver at the age of 14, but once married soon became a full-time mum and later grandma and great-grandma.
Ellen was an avid knitter and dressmaker and in her later years spent her time doing cross-stitch and tapestries
as well as many, many jigsaws.
For many years Ellen was the Brown Owl at St Anne’s Brownies.
Wife to the late John and mother to Kathryn, Joan, John, Geoff and Margaret.
On Thursday, July 10, a Requiem Mass will be held at St Anne’s RC Church, Cobham Road, Accrington, at 9.45am,
conducted by Fr Wadsworth, followed by a cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 11am
No flowers, donations can be made to the Royal Osteoporosis Society c/o
Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.
