Grandad,

I am still in disbelief that you are gone, it pains me to know that I won't see you, sitting in your chair by the window, looking out on the world with that cheeky grin on your face but, it brings me peace knowing that you are not in pain, now with your beloved wife.

Thank you for being the man you were, a kind, wonderful soul, who did nothing but help those around you. Thank you for everything you did in my life, you truly were as the saying goes, one in a million but, maybe that is too small a scale to compare you with.

The world is now dimmer without you but, the memories we have, shine brighter than ever, I miss you but, I know you will always be by my side.

Love you Grandad, rest in peace now.

Oh grandad, how lucky I was to know you. Kind, happy and welcoming, I always looked forward to visiting you at your lovely home with Dan. You always had a smile on your face and never failed to make me laugh, whilst we sat and watched the birds from your kitchen window. Thank you for making me feel so welcome in the family and for the many gifts at birthdays and Christmas. After losing my own grandad at such a young age it was so nice to feel like I had another granddad in you, so from the bottom of my heart I thank you for that.
