AnneHANNINGTONAnne passed away peacefully in Ashbourne Nursing Home, Rochdale on the 10th April 2026, Anne aged 86 years.

Anne was a devoted wife to Derrick, a beloved mum to Jane and Jo, and a cherished nana to Jess, Grace, Ollie and Lottie.

Anne will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Service of celebration to take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Wednesday 20th May 2026 at 12.00 noon.

Rather than flowers, donations if desired would be gratefully accepted to The Alzheimers Society, a donation box shall be available on the day

Anne was my domestic science teacher at my senior school. She was a lovely lady. My brother, Trevor Jewitt, was a close friend of Derrick. Sending condolences to the family. RIP Anne xx

I am sorry to see and read this very sad news. I have very fond memories of Mrs Hannington when growing up. Such a lovely lady with always a lovely smile.

Remembering a lovely lady who came to the late Clida Hannah’s Salon for her hair doing for nearly 40 years. A good friend to Clida and Cheryl and many other ladies who knew her in the Salon. Rest in peace Pretty Anne. May light perpetual shine upon you. With love from Cheryl xx
