Charmaine was a second mum to me as a little girl. I always spent my time at her house with her daughter Claire. We had many sleepovers, spent god knows how many times stripping wallpaper and helping to decorate, she gave me so much love and support through my rebellious teenage years and even a good clip up the ear if I dared to cheek her back. She would come up mums house in her dressing gown and packet bags out the kettle on then Pol, she would say. God I can hear it now as that was my que ad a 13 year old I could go say mum can I go up and see Claire means Char is here! Of course I could she could melt my mum into saying yes for anything. I even remember spending a while week in the summer once at their house if I remember rightly me, Kelly and Claire all decided to be hairdressers and tried to perm and cut each other's hairs...Well you could imagine Char at this. The news of hearing she has passed has brought back so many happy childhood memories. I loved you Charmaine you truly did make being a little girl and a snotty teenager so much easier. Rest in eternal paradise your at peace now. Forever missed. Tamie Evans (Kellard)
