chief GI Nobby Hall was a legend amongst Artificer Apprentices. With a good sense of humour and a great sense of fair play, he is remembered by all I’ve spoken to with great fondness. RIP Nobby, sincere condolences to his family. He’ll be missed.

Dear Graham…one of the best! His dry sense of humour, his patience waiting for long family ‘goodbye’s!’. A friend for many years, since the days of Thurlstone beach when the kids were small.
John and I were young parents back then.
You liked singing along to Elvis, The Wonder of You, on our jukebox!
Will miss you Graham, but John will be waiting for you with a joke or two!
RIP Graham xx

I knew Nobby in 1976 one of the best bosses I ever come across. He was a great guy one of the best. It was at HMS Fisgard where he told me that I as a young Petty Officer Electrician I was now going to be a Gunnery Instructor! The stories and Dits were memorable and I will never forget them.A truly wonderful chap,we parted due to navy commitments but met over the years now and again. I truly hope we meet again on the other side.God bless and rest in peace. The likes we shall not meet again.
