DavidHALLMr David Frederick Hall ‘Dave’, of Peel Park Close, Accrington, died on Wednesday, November 10, aged 69 years. After leaving school, Dave worked as an apprentice in the pit. From there he went on to work at Mullards as a supervisor. After being made redundant, Dave embarked on a career on the railway as a track welder, from which he retired due to ill health in 2007. Dave was an avid Burnley supporter, where he held a season ticket for over 50 years. He enjoyed Saturday afternoons up the Turf with his brother Phil, and his friend Martin. Dave loved spending time outdoors, and would often go walking; one of his favourite places was Townley Park in Burnley. Dave leaves behind a wife of 45 years, Marjorie, and his two children, Chris and Kirsty, daughter-in-law and son-in-law Nicola and Mark, and his three grandchildren, Bradley, Harrison, and Maeve. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 22, 10.20am at Accrington Crematorium Chapel, led by Neil Overton. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Cancer Research UK.
