It is heartbreaking to lose Nick at just 54 years old. He was a wonderful friend, a brilliant colleague, and a true pillar of our community. Back in the late 90s Nick owned and ran the Fast Forward Video rental shop. It wasn’t just a workplace or a business; it was the hub of our neighbourhood in Chester Road. Nick knew everyone by name. He always knew exactly which movie to recommend, whether someone needed a good laugh, a thrilling mystery, or a film for family night. He put so much passion into his work, and his shop was filled with warmth, laughter, and endless conversations about film.

Working alongside him and being his friend during those years was an absolute joy. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. He was loved by all who knew him because he genuinely cared about people. Though the days of VHS tapes and weekend rentals have passed, the memories we made with Nick never will. Thank you for the laughs, the friendship, and the community you built. Rest in peace, mate.

I had the privilege of working with Nick at Newquay Self Storage, and it is difficult to express just how shocking it was to hear of his passing from cancer. He was a kind and genuinely good man, and I will always remember his wonderful sense of humour. My heart goes out to Ros, his mother, and his brother—this is a truly devastating loss.

His passing is a painful reminder of how fragile life is and how important it is to appreciate the good people we meet along the way. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who are grieving. May they find strength in their memories of him, and may he rest in peace.
