Thinking about my extended family in Wales at the loss of my uncle Clive. I remember how kind Clive was when I stayed at his house, as a university student on exchange from Australia. Wishing support to Emily, Simon and Teniel and their families. Thank you for the memories. Melony Dennis

Clive, you were a great man, who was so passionate about our community,
You were a great family friend too.
My memories of you and Linda are too much to share. But, here’s a few….
Bob Dylan records
Buddy Holly records
Nut roast instead of roast beef on a Sunday
Back seat safety belts before they were even invented
Phoning my parents to tell them that Penny was “teaching” me how to cross the busy main road when I was only 3 years old.
The endless bed races you did for charity.
Drinking your Pernod, and hating it!
Summer BBQ’s
Little Nell the dog.

It truly is the end of an era for us, Clive. Our only comfort is that you are reunited with Linda for all eternity.
Thank you for the memories.
God bless you x

From Bob Dylan records, nut roast on Sundays, to wearing seatbelts in the back of the Renault 9 before they were even standard in cars.
What a great time we had growing up beside the Green’s.
God bless you Clive. Finally reunited with Linda xxx

We are deeply saddened by the passing of CLIVE GREEN, who served as Chairman of our Cinema Committee for over 20 years. Clive’s dedication, leadership and quiet determination shaped the cinema into the valued community space it is today. He was passionate about the community and dedicated to the future of the Hall, Cinema and Community Centre.
Just under two years ago, when the cinema faced the very real prospect of closure, Clive stepped forward and, under his leadership, a task group was formed to guide the cinema through an extremely difficult period, helping to stabilise the cinema and secure its future for the community he cared so deeply about.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Clive’s family and loved ones at this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by us all x
Dr Kirsty Bilski on behalf of Cross Hands Hall & Cinema
