Where do I start…….so many memories, mostly shared with my cousins or other family members but the one constant was Auntie Mary, just Mary or even Trig that she suggested I called her once I was a bit older. Even with everything her health threw at her in her later years, Auntie Mary still carried on until a fabulous 94 years of age.
Coconut pyramids, Welsh cakes, plasticine spiders, a wet wooden spoon, cheese, Port, chocolate gingers, my Buddha, Welsh trinkets from the charity shop, my Mums sister, her sense of humour, the way she loved talking fondly about family past and present, never really complaining, she always had a smile when I visited and asked when I might be back - all these instantly spring to mind but I’m sure as years go by there will always be something that crops up and these will be the reasons why Mary will never be forgotten.
Our funny, kind, courageous matriarch is now at rest but will remain a constant in chats, thoughts and in our hearts - Night God Bless
