I just found out Gwen died. We had been out of touch, and then her phone # came up as blocked. Somehow she and I would find a way to laugh about that if she was here today.

We were friends before we were roommates off of the Plaza in KC. She was truly one of a kind. It was almost like she was meant to live in the 60s, in a simpler time when people could be honest and be happy with a bright, sun-shiney day.

We partied and hung out and helped each other get through life. She helped me to chill and be thankful. And I am very thankful to have known Gwen for many years. I just wish we'd stayed in touch better. I got married, had kids, and drifted off.

One final note - I came to see Gwen in '98. We went to the Vikings / Cowboys game for Thanksgiving. I was a Vikings fan and had a blast. Randy Moss lit them up. We had such a good time. Gwen let me put my Vikings flag on her car. I think she giggled the entire weekend. Good times. Thanks, Gwen, for being a part of my life.
