Alison CarmelGILBERTHORPE18th June 1953 - 8th March 2026
Alison passed away peacefully on Sunday 8th March 2026, aged 72 years surrounded by her family.
Alison was a loving daughter of Jim and Kathleen Hurtley, sister to Lesley, Jillian and Andrea. A loving wife to Peter Gilberthorpe, stepmother to Yvonne and Steve and mother in law to Mark and Gemma. Grandmother to Jamie, Jade, Bobby, Cassie, Clover, Kitty, Elliott and Charlie. As well as being a great-grandmother and loving aunt.
Alison will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her during her time as a primary school teacher in Coventry and Kenilworth where she lived.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday 16th April at Canley Crematorium, Cannon Hill Chapel, at 2:15pm.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in Alison's memory are welcomed for Kenilworth Community Care (known as Waverley Day Centre).
