Denise was a truly strong and memorable woman who became like family to me over the five years I cared for her. Seeing her every day, we shared so many conversations, laughs, and moments that I will always hold close to my heart.
No matter what life brought her way, Denise faced it with strength, courage, and warmth. She had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone around her, and her spirit will never be forgotten.
It was an honour and a privilege to know and care for her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Parties and BBQs, laughter in the air,
Curry pots and meatballs, a feast we all share.
Bees buzzing gently, under the trees ablaze,
Fostering joy and outings with ease.

A beautiful Gozo, where memories play,
Thank you for the umbrella that brightened my day.
In friendship we gather, through sunshine and rain,
Creating a bond that forever will remain.

Denise,
you came into my life on a sunny holiday in Egypt and stayed there ever since. Distance never mattered—Southport to Coventry—because friendship like yours doesn’t fade with miles. We shared weekends, laughter, and memories I’ll always treasure, especially that special time in Gozo with your family.
You had a warmth that made everyone feel at home, a gentle, motherly way, and that wonderfully dry sense of humour that could catch you off guard and make you smile all the more.
Though dementia may have quietened our conversations in recent years, it never touched the place you hold in my heart. I will miss you deeply, but I will always remember you as you were—welcoming, kind, and quietly funny.
Thank you for your friendship, Denise. You will never be forgotten.
