The obituary notice of Mark Richard GAULD

I worked with mark for many years and then was fortunate to have him be part of Witney where my daughter swam and she loved chatting with him
I have many fond memories, he was always happy to spend time to have a catch up.
Last time I saw him he was open water swimming in the Thames- he was very passionate about his swimming.

Heartbreaking he has isn’t able to continue the adventure I’m sure he had planned with his loved ones.

So very shocked to hear of your sudden death, as were the rest of your swim teammates at Witney Masters. You were a delight to observe in the water, a truly talented swimmer and a supportive and encouraging teammate at events. You were also an inspiration to the kids you coached at the club. Condolences to your family on such a tragic loss.

Mark was a shining light within Witney and district swimming club as a coach, swimmer and friend. Always having fun on poolside, supporting swimmers and coaches alike. Evening games on swim camps were always hilarious with mark involved. A true supportive friend who was a pleasure to know and have as part of our team

Dear Mark, life just hasn’t been the same this year without you and I am so sad you are no longer with us. You gave me a love for the outdoors of lake and waterfall dips, hiking and walking in nature. You made me believe in myself and filled me with confidence in so many ways. We always said we came into each others lives for a reason and I hope you know how much I loved you.
