Edith MaryGALLAGHERof Hinckley passed away 17th February 2008, at the George Eliot Hospital aged 84 years. Place of Funeral service - The Requiem Mass at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church was taken by Father Frank Daly and the hymns 'Abide with me' 'Make me a channel of your peace' and 'I watch the sunrise' were sung also during Holy Communion the 'Ave Maria' was sung by Philip Worley (The organist was John Bradley). Interment followed at Hinckley Cemetery. Mrs Gallagher leaves behind one daughter. During the war years employed by the Fire Service as a telephonist and later employed in the Hoisery Trade, enjoyed walking & holidays. She was a loving wife of her late husband and a loving mum and devoted her life to them, there was always a welcome for relatives and friends. MOURNERS Miss Kathleen Gallagher (Daughter), Mrs Beryl L Jones, Mrs Nora Jones, (Sisters-in-law), Mr Stuart Jones (Nephew), Mrs Sheila Hunt, Mrs Margaret Bevins, Mr Michael Gallagher, Mrs Mary Gallagher, Miss Marina Gallagher, Miss Niamh Gallagher, Anne & Graham Herbert (Neices and Nephews), Mr & Mrs Tommy & Valerie Geever, Miss Bernadette Geever, Mr Kevin Spinks, Mrs Hazel Wood, Mr & Mrs Glenn & Dianne Hayes, Mr & Mrs Pat & Teresa Reid, Mrs Beryl Reid (Cousins), Mrs Lily Bent, Mr Don Payne, Mrs Rhyce-Rees (Mary) Friends. Representatives from: (Nurses & Carers) of Hinckley Park Care Centre, Parkinson's Disease Society, (John, Anne, Eve & Iris) Hinckley Social Services (Mrs Chris Davis). Many friends, too numerous to mention also attended the funeral. Cherished memories of my dearest Mum, you were my rock Mum, always there for me with kindness and understanding, I will always remember your loving and gentle ways and your lovely smile. You are at peace now Mum, together with Dad, no more struggling, no more pain, safely home. I will miss and love you forever, goodnight and God bless you mum.
