So many beautiful tributes to a beautiful man. We only knew each other as teenagers many moons ago and now you’ll never know the enormous impact you had on my teenage years. You will always be remembered with a smile and a full heart. Goodnight John. May you rest in eternal peace x

First met you as 'our John' nearly 40 years ago; the best kid brother anyone could have. You had the unique ability to be the quietest one in the room and yet still fill it with your sunny personality. Always up for a laugh and never took anything too seriously. I remember you starting off the karaoke with your rendition of 'I've got a brand new combine harvester'. How could anyone follow that? The world will seem a bit duller without you in it, but you have left some great memories to treasure you by. Taken too soon. RIP John.

To John, I can't believe you have gone. I've known you since you were a baby, and grew up into a cheeky but kind young lad as a St John Cadet at Acklam. You led our team as captain in the St John National First Aid finals to 2nd place in 1987., one of my proudest moments.
You made me laugh so many times with your excuses for being late.
I've heard what you did in your later years from your Mum and Louise. You didn't deserve to go so young, and now you are suffering no longer. My love and prayers to Gaynor, Dorothy, Louise, Simon and your nephews xxx RIP John.
