JoanFLANAGANJoan Flanagan, nee Dickinson, of Lime Road, Accrington, passed away on January 2, 2023, aged 93, in Royal Blackburn Hospital after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Gerald - a retired former Greater Manchester Police officer - a much loved mum of Keith and David and loved mother-in-law to Jennifer, devoted Nana of Christopher, Katharine, Claire, Andrew and Alexandra, and adoring great-grandmother of Rose, Lucy, Jessica, Francesca, Zach, Caleb and Benjamin. A good friend to many, Joan was a wonderful, very stylish and elegant lady, with a wicked sense of humour. She will be sorely missed by her loving family and all who knew her. A family and friends funeral service is to be held at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday, January 19 at 11.40am, conducted by Neil Overton.
