RobertFINNIEIt is with great sadness to announce that Robert passed away peacefully on 22nd November 2025 aged 77 years with his family by his side.

A much loved husband and father who will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday 4th December 2025 at 11.15am.

Family flowers only please, however, donations, if desired, can be made to Dementia UK or Dignity in Dying.

A donation box shall be made available on the day.

In honour of Robert, those attending are invited to wear a touch of red.

As a 2nd year Courtaulds apprentice in the mid 80s, I was seconded to contractor projects under Bob and his crew at IES. I remember Bob (and his team) being a great influence on me, guiding mentoring and instructing me through my work. A wonderful guy who even though he was under time constraints and pressure himself would give me the time of day to further my education and skills. I will never forget this.
