I have so many fond memories from a man who has played a large part in my life as a godfather to me. Time and distance have seen a little less contact but my memories from childhood and visits all point to a man of great character, DIY skills and green fingers. He always had a story to tell or a view on the world he would share. As a young man growing up his time was given freely to help or be generous with his John Brown pens. He will be missed but never forgotten. My love and thoughts to Liz, Colin and Joanne.
