Heartbroken to only just have seen this news. Mr Evans was my surgeon back in the 80s and he is the reason I can walk and live a normal life today. So sorry to hear of his passing

I would like to pay tribute to our teacher Mr. Gwyn Evans whom I did work under his supervision in Wrexham from 1993-1994. On behalf of me, my family, and all Jordanian Orthopedic Surgeons we send our condolence and sympathy to his family first, his colleagues, and friends. Mr. Evans has enormous contribution to our training during the Oswestry training program and during his repeated visits to Jordan in the late twentieth century. We will owe him a great debt of gratitude for his friendship with the Jordanian surgeons.
Mr. Evans was an inspirational surgeon, mentor, and friend. His kindness lives on in all those who have met him over the years. We pray to Allah ( God of all) to forgive him and let him rest in peace.

I was so sorry hear that Gwyn is no longer among us. He was one of the finest mentors In Orthopedics I have known. I have fond memories of my time in Wrexham en Oswestry '86-'89 but one of them I would like to share specifically: Besides having to work hard as a registrar we were also "kindly invited' to help at Daywell Manor, of which I'll post a picture below. It was great fun of course!
Rest in Peace dear Gwyn, you will be missed dearly

I deeply regret the passing of Gwyn.
He was a fantastic person for the way he received me during my time in Oswestry but also for the role he played in my orthopedic training, as he was for so many others from all over the world.
I want to offer Mary and their entire family my deepest condolences for this tremendous loss.
Allow me to share a picture of the amazing time I spent in Oswestry with him.
The dinner out he invited us to when I finished my internship.
He was a true Welsh gentleman.
I will always remember him with great friendship and gratitude.
Kind regards to you all,
