Lorraine was my friend for many years after she started at the school I was working in. She was friendly, kind and helpful and great with the children.
We remained friends after we both left the school.
Prior to becoming ill Lorraine loved her garden, it was her pride and joy, she worked hard in it and she loved passing on advice to me. Though using eggs shells to deter slugs didn't work for me, they just attracted ants!! I was not happy!
Lorraine had a great sense of humour and was good at one liners. We had a lot of laughs together. A good listener and a good friend, I will miss her. Hopefully she is at peace now.

I first met Lorraine years ago when she became my daughter’s teacher. She was a lovely lady who always had the wellbeing of the children first and foremost in everything she did. We reconnected a few years later and she was still that lovely, bubbly lady with a wicked sense of humour. She will be missed. Janice Hardcastle x

So sorry to hear the news of Lorraine's death. Our condolences to Claude and the family. We knew Lorraine at St. Josephs in 1980s and 1990s and I believe that she worked at Holme School at one point. Requiescat in pace.
