The rain, the tears I shed each day, Now you're no longer seen. The sun just shining half as bright, The sky is never blue. The moon a faded midnight grey, Since the morning we lost you. Your little dog lies on the floor, Wet nose pointing at the door. She lifts her head at every sound, Believing that you're still around. She hopes you'll soon be home again, Not knowing that she waits in vain. I stand alone within a crowd, And want to shout your name out loud. A snowflake on my face, a kiss, I have never known a pain like this. You're never far from all our thoughts, Your name we speak each day. No kiss, no smiles, no loving words, Since you gently slipped away. Sleep well my love and wait for me, We'll be together at our tree.
