It’s been 4 years without you Dad. It seems longer in some ways and it feels more recent in others. We all miss you so very much. I sit on your bench under the tree most days looking at where you use to sit most mornings. Stay close to
Mum, she needs you more than ever. We all worry about her most days now she’s been going hospital for some checks but seems to be getting more hard of hearing more breathless and unsteady and she forgets things. It’s just sad dad getting old and seeing those we love the most suffering. But I guess it’s because we were and still are lucky enough to have had a family that loves and cares about each other so much. That’s all down to you and mum. I will be forever grateful I got to call you Dad. Love and miss you Dad. xxx

Four Years Since You Passed Away, Grandad

Four years have passed since you went away,
Yet I think of you each and every day.
The years keep moving, the world carries on,
But the love that I have for you will never be gone.

I still remember your smile and your face,
The warmth of your presence, your gentle embrace.
The memories we made I will treasure forever,
For time cannot break the bond that we shared together.

Sometimes I wish I could turn back time,
Just for one more moment, one more goodbye.
To hear your voice and see your smile,
And sit beside you for just a while.

Four years without you feels hard to believe,
There are still days when I struggle to grieve.
But I know that wherever you may be,
A part of you will always live on in me.

So sleep peacefully, Grandad, beneath heaven’s light,
May the angels hold you close tonight.
Until the day that we meet once more,
I’ll carry your memory forevermore.

Four years have passed, but this much is true
I miss you, Grandad, and I always will.
You may be gone from my sight and my days,
But never from my heart, in a million different ways. ❤️
