Mary JanetEDGAR(née Riddick) Peacefully, in the Alexandra Unit of the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary on Sunday 1st February 2026 after a long illness, which she fought with courage, dignity and strength.
Mary Edgar (ex nurse Crichton Royal Dumfries), aged 83 years, of Heathhall, Dumfries.
Beloved wife of the late Davey Edgar, dearly loved Mum to Jill and Kenneth, much loved Mother-in-law to Shaun and dearly loved doggy nana to Bear and Willow. Mary was a much loved friend and neighbour to many over the years. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Thank you to everyone who loyally visited and supported Mary and her family through her illness and long stays in hospital it was greatly appreciated and gave Mary the will to battle on.
In keeping with Mary's wishes, she didn't want any fuss and wanted laid to rest peacefully with her immediate family by her side, her funeral will be private.
