ChristinaDUFFYOur beloved mum, Chrissie, Passed away peacefully on the 3rd March 2026, aged 99, with her loving family around her.
She was born in Drogheda, Co Louth Ireland, growing up with her 7 siblings. She attended school at Presentation Convent.
She married Gerry Duffy in April 1949 and later moved to Park Road Accrington to raise their family. Chrissie worked many jobs including sewing machinist, later working at Hollands Pies and Hyndburn Park School in the kitchens.
Chrissie loved to bake, sew and knit for her family, and would also feed and clothe anyone else in need. A devout Catholic, she regularly attended Sacred Heart and St Joseph's Church, her faith bringing her joy and comfort.

We will all remember her as the kindest, most loving lady with a wicked sense of humour right to the end. She leaves a huge void in our hearts, now reunited with Gerry and her beloved son Paul.
The funeral will take place on Thursday the 12th March at St Joseph's Church, Belgarth Rd at 12.30pm followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40 pm.
