I was a friend of Nina, and have only just found out that she died, and am devastated. She suddenly stopped getting in touch, but she was a secretive person and never gave away where she lived, so I couldn’t trace her when she didn’t reply to my messages. She was a very special person, an idealist, who lived a very good, giving and principled life. I met her on an art course and she started giving me lessons on how to use Adobe Photoshop, which she was very good at, and social media. She always insisted on coming to my home, and it was very hard to get her to accept any money. Her Buddhist ideals meant that she always wanted to give far more than she received. I was extremely fond of her. She taught me a lot and I looked forwards to her visits. She was extremely generous and gave me various presents, including a fantastic art book and a beautiful pendant. She was a gifted teacher and always encouraged me to get in touch any time I had a query about the computer programmes she was teaching me. I am extremely upset to hear that Nina is no longer with us. She just suddenly stopped getting in touch. I thought that maybe she had gone to Spain, which she talked of. I would love to talk to her family. Cath Sutherland 07766294745
