EdwardDORANMr Edward ‘Eddie’ Doran, of Kingsley Close, Accrington, sadly passed away on Saturday, April 16, aged 83. The much loved husband of the late Margaret, loving father to Julieanne, Sarah, and Amelia, grandad to Claire, Gemma, Paige, Connor, James, Jack, Oliver, and the late Emily, also great-grandad to KacieMae, Charlie, Phoebe, Jaxon, and Meadow, he also leaves his brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews. Eddie was born in Lurgan, Co Armagh, and he moved to St Helens in the 60s, where he met Margaret. He moved to Accrington in the early 70s, where he remained. He had a few different jobs in his time in Accrington, working on the CPU, Express Gifts, and Textile Mouldings. He liked a drink or two, and a little flutter on the horses and dogs. His funeral will take place on Monday, May 9, at 10.15am at St Joseph’s Church, followed by burial at Dill Hall Lane Cemetery at 11.30am. A few drinks and a bite to eat will follow at the Broadway Pub, where he liked to go on a Saturday to have a drink and chat with friends. Open to flowers.
