KennethDONOVANDONOVAN Kenneth(19.9.22 - 24.3.08 It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Ken, who passed away on March 24 aged 85 on Ward 8 at Prince Charles Hospital. Ken who lived at Lansbury Road, Swansea Road Estate was the devoted husband of the late Maisie, his beloved wife of over sixty years, someone he loved and missed so dearly, loving father to Gareth and the late Keith, father-in-law to Coleen, adoring grandfather to Keri and Michelle, two people he cherished so much and brother-in-law to Ernie. A family service was held at Ken's home, this was followed by a service at the Tabernacle Chapel, Brecon Road with interment at Cefn Cemetery where Ken was reunited with his late wife and son. Ken, a retired miner was a well liked and respected gentleman, this was shown by the attendance at the funeral. The family would like to thank the staff and Doctors on Ward 8 for the care and compassion shown to Ken during his stay, also to Sian Thomas (Cardiac Nurse), the Staff of the Co-op Pharmacy (Galen) and Susan his cleaner, for all their help and kindness. Also thanks to family, friends and neighbours for their messages of sympathy, cards of condolence and floral tributes. The family would also like to thank Michelle's friend Zoe Perman for her rendition of Amazing Grace at the church - you made a sad day special. A very special thank you to neighbour Ken Treharne for all the help and kindness that he showed Ken over the last couple of years. The funeral arrangements were carried out with respect and dignity by the Reverend David Protheroe who also conducted the service at the church, and paid a moving and loving tribute to Ken's life. Thank you so much. God bless Dad, love you always, forever in our hearts.
