-Happy are the dead who die in union with the Lord from this time onward. Yes, says the spirit, let them rest from their labours, for the things they did go along with them. (Rev: 14: 13, NWT)

Beloved, before us this day lies the mortal remains of our beloved friend, brother, father, husband and son, Mr. Thomas Donkoh. A light of a family is gone and a voice we loved to hear is silenced.
Mr. Donkoh was my gateway to the UK. He picked me up when I first arrived in the UK from the Netherlands. He helped me navigate the city of Hull and helped me to register with a GP. What is more, he gave me the privilege to be his best man when he was tying the knot with wife Hildarling.
In fact, Mr. Donkoh was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. In my over nineteen and half years’ association with his family, I have fruitlessly tried to find out his favourite child but to no avail. He loved them all and they themselves are aware of this fact.
No doubt, they all pulled their resources together and joined hands with Hildarling when it mattered most.
Mr. Donkoh, your family and friends love you. We still cannot believe you have been taken away from us. But there is one thing that we can all attest to regarding you. You treated us with so much love, and the love and unity you created around us will forever remain and guide me. It is such a great pain to say our goodbyes, knowing very well that you are gone and never come back.
But now, as I reflect on the memories we shared, it brings tears to my eyes. For I know that I will never hear your voice, feel your reassuring hand, or see your comforting smile. I feel so shattered by your absence.
You may be gone from my sight, but you will never be gone from my heart. I pray to the Almighty God Jehovah to give you absolute rest in His Bosom when the Archangels finally blow their trumpets to call all the righteous to His promised Kingdom. May you Rest in peace.
Thomas, Da Yie! Onyame mfa wo kraa nsie na oma nhome!

Mr Thomas Donkoh will always be remembered as a man of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering dedication to both his family and the Ghanaian community. He lived a life guided by humility and service, never seeking attention, yet leaving a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was calm in his manner and steady in his presence, someone people naturally felt at ease around. His approachable nature meant that he was always ready to listen, to guide, and to support others with patience and understanding. Mr Donkoh carried himself with grace and respect, treating everyone equally, regardless of age or status.

As a family man, he was devoted, dependable, and deeply caring, offering love and wisdom through his actions rather than words.
