There are people in life whose love leaves a permanent imprint on your heart and Grandy, you were one of those rare souls.

I’ll always remember the comfort of knowing you were there. When I came back from the UK and found myself living back in Perth on my own, your support was unwavering. You gave me a place to land, a place to rest, and a place to feel loved when I needed it most. That kind of kindness isn’t forgotten. It lives on, deeply etched in who I am.

I miss you every single day. I still hear your voice, so clear in my mind, greeting me with those familiar words - “Hello, pet.” Just those two words would make everything feel okay. They still do.

Thank you for being the best Grandy, for your strength, your endless support, and the warmth of your presence. Life feels a little emptier without you, but your love still fills the spaces you once stood in.

Love you always,
your Granddaughter Kasy, Steve and great grandchildren Bailey & Toby Symes xxx

Grandee was a kind and genuine man. Always welcoming, always easy to be around. I always enjoyed his company—whether it was a quick visit for a coffee.

He had a bit of a thing with the reticulation controller—he was always stuffing around with it. To be honest, sometimes I wondered if he did it on purpose, just so we’d have another excuse to catch up. I never minded though. It was never really about fixing anything—it was the time spent together that mattered.

Our conversations were often simple, but they stuck with me. Just honest chats, shared laughs, and a quiet understanding.

I’ve missed those small but meaningful moments. Grandee will always be remembered fondly.
