I worked with John for a few years and took over his job when he left Nottinghamshire County Council. I will remember him as one of the kindest, funniest and most generous people I’ve ever known.

John was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and talking with . A very sharp, intelligent and kind man. The world is a much sadder place without him.
He was my father’s nephew.
